NB Store Update

For those of you that didn’t know, we had a nice store front in the Landa Street Shopping Centre.  Unfortunately, the Landa Shopping Centre was destroyed by fire back in August.  The good news was none of our GOCI team members were injured but the bad news was our entire store was completely destroyed.  The only salvageable item was a file folder with a few papers.  You can still view the photos at http://www.nbtx.com/fire.php

It has been a struggle, to say the least, trying to rebuild in New Braunfels.  We thought we had one location picked out across from Hobby Lobby, but the space needed so much work to bring it up to code we just couldn't justify the investment and the owners were not willing to either.  By the way, that space is still vacant six months later.

We thought we had another location that was perfect for us.  The size was perfect, the location was good and the rent was right.  They showed us the place on a Friday and we called them Monday to start the lease process only to find out the brother of the leasing agent just leased it to a church.  Strike Two

Maybe the third time is a charm... Well it turned out to be perfect except for one very important detail.  The lease amount was double what we were paying on Landa Street.  After running the number over and over we just could not take that kind of gamble with the economy the way its heading and Best Buy moving into the area.  Best Buy to us is like Walmart to the Five and Dime.

We are still looking for retail space in the area but until we find some we are still proving free pick up and delivery service to our customers as a thank you for your support.  We hope to be back in New Braunfels permanently very soon.
