Global On-Line Computers opens second location in San Antonio area

Global On-Line Computers Inc. opened a new sales and service center in New Braunfels to help small businesses in the area order computers and related IT services.

The new office is located at 367 Landa St. in the Handy Andy shopping center. In addition to computer sales, the new location will provide technical support, networking, Web services and Internet access to businesses.

The sales and service center is staffed with local technicians to assist homeowners and business customers. It officially opened Dec. 1.

"With our ever-expanding customer base in New Braunfels, it made sense to plant roots here in this community," Global On-Line Computers President Karen Meszaros says.

Founded in 1995, Global On-Line Computers markets hardware, software and Internet services. The companys main office is based in San Antonio.

The company also operates two divisions called URdirect.net and URdirect Remote Backup, which offers Web design, Web hosting, domain registration and remote data back-up.

It also owns Printing Solutions, which offers full-color printing, brochures, pamphlets, printed programs and invitations.

Global On-Line Computers completes second acquisition in two months

Global On-Line Computers Inc. has bought In-Sync Business Systems, a local system integration, desktop support, network design and server maintenance firm.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
This is the second business acquisition Global On-Line Computers has made in the last two months. The company previously purchased Printer Solutions, a local print-fulfillment company.
In-Sync Business Systems has provided computer services in San Antonio and South Texas for more than 14 years. Its employees will be absorbed by Global On-Line Computers.

Printing Solutions sold to local technology company
Global On-Line Computers Inc. bought out Printing Solutions, a local company that produces full-color brochures, business cards, banners, newsletters and marketing materials.

Global On-Line Computers is a small woman-owned technology company with 15 employees. The local company offers network support, Internet access, Web hosting, computer repair services, Web design services and computer sales.
Karen Meszaros, president of Global On-Line Computers, says the acquisition of Printing Solutions will give her company the ability to offer turnkey marketing services from Web design to printed materials. Printing Solutions also has the ability to produce embroidered T-shirts.
